Bright Futures Begin Here: Empowering Enid’s Youth Today

Empowering Enid’s Youth TodayDiscover the programs, people, and places shaping the next generation in our region.

From Enid to Excellence: Meet Piper Tucker, Educator

Piper is an Enid High School graduate who has returned to the Enid community to inspire the next generation of youth. Piper currently is the Pom coach at Enid High and is looking forward to expanding her teaching role next year.

“I’m so grateful for the Work in Enid Award and the chance to continue building my life and career in the community that raised me. As a teacher and pom coach at Enid High School and a dance instructor at Hype Dance Productions, I am passionate about inspiring and supporting our youth to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams, just as I was able to do. Growing up in Enid has shaped who I am, and giving back to this community is truly a privilege.”  - Piper Tucker, 2025 recipient of the Work in Enid Award

It Takes a Village — And Enid Builds One Every Day

In a town where the wheat fields sway,
And sunrise paints the start of day,
There grows a village, heart and hand—
A place where young and old both stand.

The laughter echoes through the park,
Where dreams are lit from just a spark,
At camps that teach and plays that stage,
They find their voice at every age.

The court, the lab, the theater lights,
Each path explored, each future bright.
With mentors, teachers, friends who guide,
The youth of Enid walk with pride.

From science camps to songs they sing,
To learning what tomorrow brings—
The village builds, supports, sustains,
Through every loss, through every gain.

It takes a village, so they say,
And Enid lives that truth each day.
With open doors and hearts that care,
For every child, hope lives there.
