Economic development doesn’t stop at the Enid city limits. The Enid Regional Development Alliance (ERDA) works to strengthen the broader regional economy by helping businesses access resources, make investments and create opportunities for long-term growth.
Recently, ERDA helped facilitate USDA Rural Development grant funding for two businesses: Bearhawk Aircraft, an aircraft manufacturer in Fairview, OK, and Henry’s Corner Store, a convenience store in Drummond, OK.
For Bearhawk, the USDA grant will help support the purchase of a CNC routing table, providing the aircraft manufacturer with equipment to enhance its production capabilities.
In Drummond, Henry’s Corner Store will use its USDA grant to make updates to equipment at the convenience store, helping the business continue serving its community and investing in its operations.
These projects reflect ERDA’s commitment to supporting economic development throughout the region—not only in Enid, but in the rural communities that contribute to the strength and diversity of the area’s economy.
For businesses like C&C Dry Cleaning, access to funding for essential equipment can make a meaningful difference in their ability to continue operating efficiently and serving customers. For rural businesses like Bearhawk and Henry’s, USDA funding provides another avenue for investment and growth.
Together, these projects demonstrate several important aspects of ERDA’s economic development work: supporting existing businesses, connecting businesses with outside resources and investing in the communities that make up our regional economy.
Supporting business growth means supporting the people, jobs and communities that make our region stronger.
If your business is considering an expansion, renovation, new equipment or other investment, ERDA may be able to help identify funding resources or connect you with the right partners. Visit our website or reach out to the ERDA team to explore available opportunities.
