There is an exciting lineup of upcoming events specific to the manufacturing industry. If any of these professional development sessions are of interest to you, there are provided links to the Autry Tech website to enroll. You may also register by emailing rzaloudek@autrytech.edu or calling 580-242-2750.
Beginning in June, we will start a three-month series of Friday morning conversations specifically focused on helping small businesses implement quality management systems into their business. Whether this is ISO 9001 or another QMS designation, the goal of these classes is to make QMS less intimidating. Taught by a VP in the international manufacturing sector, these classes are meant to be very discussion-based and we hope that it will provide you with cost-free guidance on implementing these strategies into your long-term plans.
*These classes will be held at the Strate Center facility located at 2020 Willow Run (across the south parking lot of Autry Tech's main campus).
In the fall, we welcome OMA back to our campus to talk about strategies for short-term and long-term expansion into DOD/aerospace contracts and in the energy sector. Specifically, we will show what opportunities are available in these industries in Oklahoma, show you what key indicators to consider when making the decision to pursue these industries, review certifications required (like QMS) in those industries, and talk about incentives available to aid in your expansion efforts. Lunch is provided for these sessions.
