Autry Technology Center and ERDA will celebrate Manufacturing Day locally by recognizing the critical role manufacturing plays in helping communities thrive. This event will engage high school freshmen and sophomores, but it also provides an opportunity to celebrate the significant impact of our local manufacturers in Enid and Northwest Oklahoma.
As Ryan Zaloudek, training specialist at Autry Tech, noted in her Letter to the Editor at Enid News and Eagle, "The diversity of skilled jobs in this field is impressive, and the products manufactured here — from food and steel to public art — are integral to our basic needs and quality of life. In addition to the innovation and progress our local companies have made in their long histories, the dedication of these companies to their collective approximately 2,500 employees — their unique traditions, commitment to professional and personal growth, and financial support of community events — is also commendable. And while the work can sometimes be challenging, my experience with the employees who work in the manufacturing field is that they take pride in their contributions and the positive impact they make."
Join in the celebration of MFG Day on October 4 and help us excite Enid's youth about the incredible career pathways that modern manufacturing offers.
