Teen Tech Academy Take Flight with Drones
The Autry Technology Center Teen Tech Academy, held from June 3-14, offered an exciting opportunity for students to dive into the world of drones with the 'Take Flight with Drones' class. Through interactive sessions, participants not only grasped the fundamental principles of drone flight, navigation, and aerial photography but also honed their piloting skills and explored diverse applications in industries like agriculture, filmmaking, and beyond. The hands-on training and simulation exercises provided a dynamic learning experience, showcasing the limitless potential of this cutting-edge technology.
Thanks to the Impact Partnership Grant, facilitated by the Enid Regional Development Alliance, drone hardware and specialized curriculum were made accessible for the Teen Tech Academy. This collaboration aimed to inspire and prepare students for careers in aerospace, including maintenance, repair, and piloting roles, while also fostering a pathway for those interested in aviation support careers. The grant not only supported the educational aspect but also emphasized the importance of local partnerships in driving workforce development initiatives.
