The Enid Regional Development Alliance (ERDA) plays a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life across Enid and the surrounding region. As a nonprofit organization, ERDA partners with local businesses, government entities, and community organizations to drive business development, workforce enhancement, and community revitalization. 

Business Development and Support 

ERDA offers a range of programs designed to help new and existing businesses thrive: 

• Equipment Grant Assistance: Covers 50% of new equipment costs (up to $25,000) for businesses with seven or more full-time employees to improve operational efficiency or expand product lines. 

• Infrastructure Grant Assistance: Assists businesses needing new or improved public infrastructure (roads, water, sewer, broadband), covering up to 50% of project costs (up to $25,000). 

• Industry Certification Grant Assistance: Provides 50% of the costs (up to $5,000) for businesses seeking national or international certifications like ISO9000 or HAACP. 

• Small Business Renovation & Downtown Sprinkler Assistance: Supports the renovation of commercial spaces and the installation of fire suppression systems, contributing to the revitalization of downtown Enid. 

• Quarterly Luncheons: Facilitated discussions on key topics impacting local economic development. 

• BIZ\Boost Series: A bi-monthly program tailored to the challenges and opportunities faced by local industries, offering expert resources aligned with community needs. 

Workforce Development and Talent Attraction 

Attracting and retaining top talent remains a priority: 

• Work in Enid Award: Offers up to $10,000 in student loan repayment to individuals who relocate to Enid, secure employment, and commit to making Enid their home.

Industrial Development and Site Readiness 

Enid boasts four industrial parks with approximately 700 acres available for development. ERDA actively manages these parks, ensuring they are ready to meet the demands of expanding businesses and incoming industries.

ERDA’s commitment to community development includes: 

• Educational Partnerships: Collaborations with Autry Technology Center, Northern Oklahoma College, and Northwestern Oklahoma State University to bolster workforce training and industry-specific education, along with initiatives supporting local PK-12 schools. 

• Downtown Revitalization: Working alongside Main Street Enid to restore historic downtown spaces, enhance aesthetics, and grow vibrant business opportunities.
