Three Selected to Receive Work In Enid Award

ERDA-2204-Work-In-Enid-Award-800x315-2The Work In Enid Award is a dynamic talent attraction initiative that offers professionals the opportunity to have their student loan balances paid off, up to $10,000, in exchange for relocating and working in the vibrant Enid area. After thorough interviews, the Cherokee Strip Community Foundation Selection Committee proudly announced the recipients of this prestigious award.

Meet the scholarship winners

KaciCircleKaci Robinett

Originally from Enid, Kaci completed her education at Chisholm and OSU, earning a degree in Psychology & Child Development. Following her time in Stillwater, she made the decision to return to Enid and embark on a fulfilling career as a Kindergarten teacher at Garfield Elementary. Kaci is now looking forward to furthering her education with a graduate degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

 

TaelynCircleTaelyn Gray

A native of Enid, Taelyn graduated from OSU in 2022 with a degree in communications. Together with her husband, they are excited to be moving back to Enid after residing in Edmond for two years. Taelyn will be sharing her passion for education as a 6th grade English teacher at Chisholm, while her husband serves as a middle school teacher and assistant high school baseball coach. As a published author, Taelyn is dedicated to shaping the minds of the next generation. With a new addition to their family, winning this scholarship enables them to take the next step in purchasing their first home in Enid.

KarstenCircleKarsten Robinett

Another Enid native, Karsten completed her studies at Chisholm and OSU, obtaining a master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders in May of 2024. Following her time in Stillwater, she made the choice to return to Enid and join Gonzalez Therapy Services as a Speech Language Pathologist. Her significant other also plays a vital role in the community as an underwriting technician at Triangle Insurance.
