Three ERDA Members Receive State Funding to Support Growth and Innovation
Three ERDA member companies are investing in growth thanks to funding awarded through the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP), a statewide initiative through the Oklahoma Department of Commerce designed to help Oklahoma businesses expand operations, create jobs, and strengthen the state's economy.
This year, Martens Machine Shop, Evans Pharmacy, and Whiterock Resources received a combined $115,000 through the program. The awards will help support projects ranging from manufacturing equipment investments to innovations in healthcare and energy services.
For Martens Machine Shop, the funding will support the purchase of a Climax Line Boring Machine, allowing the company to add a new service and pursue new business opportunities.
“Our shop participated in the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Project (OIEP) for the fourth consecutive year in 2026,” said Jake Martens, owner of Martens Machine Shop. “This program is instrumental in our growth. The Climax Line Boring Machine adds a new service to our shop and allows us to enter new markets. ERDA has been a valued partner in helping us navigate programs and making connections. We appreciate their team and the relationship we have built with them.”
The three recipients represent the diversity of Enid’s business community—from advanced manufacturing and healthcare to energy innovation. Their success also highlights the value of connecting local companies with resources that can help them grow.
Earlier this year, ERDA featured the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program during a BIZ / BOOST session focused on business growth and funding opportunities. Through programs like BIZ | BOOST, ERDA works to ensure area businesses are aware of state and federal resources that can support expansion plans.
Whiterock Resources was among the companies that learned about the opportunity through that effort.
“Whiterock was thrilled to receive an Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP) award for our Dual-phase Extraction Unit project,” said Jennie Brinkley of Whiterock Resources. “We appreciate ERDA for connecting us with the OIEP through their BIZ | BOOST session earlier this year. ERDA’s dedication to supporting local business growth and creating meaningful opportunities for companies like ours is greatly valued, and we are proud to be part of this organization.”
According to ERDA Executive Director Dr. Marcie Mack, the awards are another example of the innovation and momentum taking place across the region. These awards reflect the innovation and momentum happening within our local business community. We are proud to see our members recognized at the state level and are excited about the continued investment and growth these projects will bring to Enid and the surrounding region.
Administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program continues to provide Oklahoma companies with resources to invest in new equipment, processes, and technologies that position them for long-term success.
