2025 Cherokee Strip Business Model Competition Winners Announced

We’re proud to congratulate the outstanding winners of the 2025 Cherokee Strip Business Model Competition, a key program of StartUp Enid that highlights entrepreneurship, creativity, and the future of business in our community. This year’s competition brought forward bold ideas and passionate founders ready to make their mark on Enid—and beyond.

 

1st Place – $10,000
Shamika Travis – Sculpting by Mika
Sculpting by Mika LLC is a premier provider of non-invasive body sculpting and skin enhancement services. Led by owner Shamika Travis, this Enid-based business offers advanced aesthetic treatments using cutting-edge technology, including the Neveskin machine. With a focus on personalized care and wellness, Shamika is helping clients look and feel their best.

2nd Place – $5,000
Joshua Russo, Trista Russo & Dave Walton – New Era Roots
New Era Roots is a vibrant startup connecting communities through food. By spotlighting local businesses, sharing engaging cooking tutorials, and offering honest food reviews, the team behind New Era Roots is creating a trusted platform for food lovers and entrepreneurs alike. Their line of handcrafted sauces adds even more flavor to their growing brand.

3rd Place – $3,000
Delane Osland – Connect Media Solutions
Connect Media Solutions is a client-focused Managed Service Provider (MSP) that delivers innovative IT solutions tailored to each business’s needs. Based in Enid, founder Delane Osland is helping organizations grow with services ranging from remote monitoring to advanced cybersecurity—making technology easier and more effective for local businesses.

4th Place – $1,500
Nathan & Stephanie Larson – Chilly Charms
With their mobile sno cone trailer, Nathan and Stephanie Larson are bringing cool treats and creative flavors to the streets of Enid. Chilly Charms offers everything from nostalgic favorites to dye-free, sugar-free, and health-conscious options like acai bowls, serving families and foodies wherever they go.
