A Winning Season: Community Effort Fuels Growth and Recognition

A Winning Season1Spring in Enid is always a season of energy and renewal, but this year it is also a season of major wins and exciting opportunities ahead.

The Enid Regional Development Alliance is proud to celebrate a significant milestone for our community. Through the dedication of Mike Steinke and the team at the Advance Soccer Complex, Enid has been selected to host the 2027 NJCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s National Soccer Championships. This national recognition reflects not only the quality of our facilities, but also the strength of our partnerships and the pride our community takes in hosting premier events.

This announcement builds on the momentum created by Enid’s successful hosting of the 2025 NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship. That event alone generated nearly $950,000 in economic impact through filled hotel rooms, increased local sales, and visitors experiencing all our city has to offer. Even more importantly, it demonstrated Enid’s ability to come together and deliver a first-class experience for athletes, families, and fans.

Being awarded both the men’s and women’s Division II championships in 2027 further positions Enid as a destination capable of hosting large-scale national events while showcasing our hospitality, infrastructure, and community spirit.

With local events scheduled at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center, Enid Symphony Orchestra, Main Street Enid, Stride Bank Center, and many other attractions featured on the Visit Enid calendar, these opportunities are about more than entertainment. They create vibrancy, support quality of life, and build experiences that elevate our community’s profile. Events like these do exactly that while also fueling economic growth and strengthening community pride.

The economic impact of these events is already evident. Last year, events at David Allen Memorial Ballpark generated approximately $1.6 million in May alone, while summer soccer tournaments at the Advance Soccer Complex contributed more than $2.5 million.

Thank you to all the organizations and partners who help make these events a reality. As we begin this spring season, we celebrate these wins and look forward to what lies ahead. I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the many local opportunities our community has to offer.

Here’s to a season of momentum, community pride, and continued growth.
